Course Status: Open (wef 2nd December)
Buggies not permitted. Fairway mats must be used for all shots hit from the closely mown areas, other than when putting. Holes 6, 7,and 8 are closed for maintenance.
November
Winter programme agreed with the Board. Course closed for 4 weeks (national lockdown). Work to improve drainage on 9th completed, work to improve drainage on 18th to be completed when ground dries enough to allow access to machinery (weather permitting!!). Repairs to pathways and basic course maintenance on-going.
October
Record breaking rainfall… Sat 3rd Oct wettest day in UK records dating back to 1891. 1st – 13th Oct saw 87% of average monthly rainfall.
Soil sampling around the course has been completed, test results will be used to plan next year’s fertiliser applications. Greens sprayed to retain plant health and disease resistance. Repairs to the 17 green completed.
Assessment of equipment storage and workshop maintenance facilities has been completed. Procedures to help manage maintenance are being implemented and improvements to workshop areas actioned.
